Welcome to Routt County Habitat for Humanity
We are a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Our goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from Routt County. Together we partner with local businesses, community organizations, faith communities, cities and volunteers to build simple decent homes for low-income families, i.e. families earning less than 60% of Area Median Income.
Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.
History
Routt County Habitat for Humanity was formed and became an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International on October 1st 1999. Since that time we have renovated 22 badly run down apartments and have built seven homes and renovated one home.
News
Routt County Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for "Partner Families". The deadline is June 30, 2009.
